Silver Tones
Senior Resource Association’s Silver Tones choral group, sponsored by Kathie and Michael Pierce, began in 2007 with the vision of providing older adults (55+) with a meaningful musical outlet that encourages their unique talents and provides a service to the community.
How often do the Silver Tones perform?
The Silver Tones perform three seasonal concerts in December, February and April. Performances are hosted at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach. Smaller concerts are also available for private events throughout the year.
How can I join the Silver Tones?
Silver Tones is open to all adults age 55 and older. Practices are held on Thursdays from 10am to 12pm at First Presbyterian Church. If you are interested in joining the Silver Tones, please call 772.569.0760 or Email: info@sramail.org.
Who is the director?
The Silver Tones choir is under the direction of Jacob Craig, Director of Music and Arts of First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach. Jacob received his Bachelor of Music Education and Piano Performance degree from Shorter University in Rome, GA and his Master of Music in Choral Conducting and Literature at Florida State University under Dr. Andre Thomas. In 2019, Jacob completed his Doctorate of Sacred Music in Performance at the Graduate Theological Foundation and Oxford University. In addition to serving the Silver Tones, Jacob directs several community choirs including ACTS Choristers, Sea Oaks Chorus, John’s Island Singers, and Vero Beach Choral Society. He also is the Pipe Major of Vero Beach Pipes and Drums.
