Legacy Planned Giving

Legacy Planned Giving Program
Senior Resource Association thanks you for your interest in our Legacy Planned Giving Program. Our goal is to help you understand the options available and the benefits they bring to you.

Helping Senior Resource Association meet the challenges of tomorrow by leaving a legacy today, also means your options for giving live far beyond gifts of cash. By electing to make a planned gift, you ensure that Senior Resource Association continues to carry out its mission in Indian River County well into the future.

Bequests
Bequests are the backbone of our planned giving program and historically the most popular option used by our donors. Once you have named those you wish to receive certain property in your will, you could name the Senior Resource Association as a recipient of all or the remainder portion of your assets.

Charitable Remainder Trust
A Charitable Remainder Trust offers flexibility, an income stream for life or a term of years, and significant tax benefits to you and your heirs. A Charitable Remainder Trust is an irrevocable, tax-exempt trust in which you place assets to provide income for you during a specific period of time. At the end of that period, the remaining assets will be turned over to Senior Resource Association.

Charitable Gift Annuity
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a simple contract between you and Senior Resource Association, whereby you make an irrevocable transfer of assets to us. You can make a gift and receive guaranteed fixed payments for life. Payments may be higher than your return on low-earning securities or CDs.

Life Insurance
Donate a policy, take a deduction, deduct future premium payments, if any, and make an extraordinary gift. It provides you with the opportunity to make a gift at a sizeable face value. Simply name Senior Resource Association as a beneficiary of your policy on the beneficiary designation form. Donors should contact a professional appraiser to determine the charitable deduction amount.
